www.thulegroup.com We are looking for a Category Manager Plastic to join our Purchasing organization that is providing valuable and reliable performance in the sourcing and purchasing of products, components and services for all business purposes.
The purchasing organization commits to this value by reassuring that the supplier base delivers to the right quality, to the right price and at the right time and that the supplier base is meeting Thule Group's current and future range- & customer needs..
As Category Manager Plastic you will create and lead the implementation of sourcing strategies of our plastic materials. You will develop capacities and supply set ups aligned with range development and market needs and to secure production and technique development in alignment with our R&D department. You will manage strategic supplier relations and ensure businesses the Thule Group way and also decide upon supplier classification and supplier structure build up and to assign new businesses to site sourcing responsible in co-operation with project purchaser. The role has a global focus which means working across Europe, Asia and Americas The plastic supplier base is currently challenged to manage high season capacity needs and introducing new products effectively and we need to develop the supplier base very quickly.
We believe you have a minimum of 3 years of experience from strategic sourcing in an international business environment, preferably knowledgeable about category management principles. We trust you have an academic degree within engineering, business economics or comparable working experience. We would prefer if you have a good supplier market knowledge within the plastic industry as well as a good technical understanding of plastic materials and production processes.
