To Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions and the division Crushing & Screening, we're looking for a Global Category Manager for Transportation - an exciting role where you get the opportunity to actually influence our ways of working and develop our business. We offer you to be part of a world leading manufacturing player and, at the same time, we provide you with a network of innovative minds spread all over the globe! Welcome to be part of our Sandvik world!
Your mission
In this position, you develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with our category strategies - ensuring a successful implementation and compliance in line with these. You lead and drive sourcing projects and cases, including supplier selection and creation of contracts and you're responsible for the complete contract process - from negotiation to signing. Also, part of your job is implementation and follow-up on country sourcing plans, in order to be able to identify, prepare, propose, lead and manage sourcing activities. You establish strong relationships and work in close cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders, and with your expertise you support the onboarding of suppliers. All in all, you're part of leading us to a more efficient and strategic future by shaping our flows and ways of working.
The location for this position is preferably Svedala, Sweden, and we offer you to work remotely from home or from another location a couple of days a week. International traveling is normally included in this role.
Your background and characteristics
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in a relevant area, for example Logistics or Supply Chain Management, combined with purchasing or sales experience from logistics or transports. You have previously worked in a similar role, perhaps in sourcing or sales, and are used to conducting negotiations and contract management. Working in an international environment calls for excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing.
Your analytical and structured features really come in handy in this role as you need to create an umbrella perspective to get an overview of various situations. With your networking and communication skills, you're an excellent negotiator who is able to explain and make yourself clear and easily understood. Being independent makes it easy for you to get things done and, at the same time, you're a true team player who believes that the best solutions emerge in great collaborations.
