Do you want to be part of bringing innovative new medicines to patients? We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Category Manager to join the Engineering Procurement team, Global Procurement! The position will be located at our vibrant site in Södertälje, where you will be in charge of the procurement of a number of capital engineering projects. The main categories of spend are design, construction, manufacturing equipment and other consultancy and services. It will also include accountability for creation of project procurement strategies, and implementation of sourcing, tendering, negotiations and contracts, as well as Supplier Relationship Management for a number of critical suppliers. The capital projects will be mainly located in Sweden, but could also be in other countries, and will allow for both local and cross-border teamwork.
Accountabilities

Work with team members to assess project drivers, external market conditions and develop Procurement Strategies. These will include delivery models, such as Design Bid Build, Construction Management At Risk and pricing models.

Research new vendors in the market and shortlist in accordance with category strategies, as well as develop and manage tender packages via AstraZeneca's e-sourcing platform. This includes running prequalification of potential vendors.

Resolve vendor issues, such as performance, delivery expediting, payments

Lead multiple continuous improvement initiatives for the function, such as process development, template and contract improvements

Undertake internal and external analysis to assist with internal forecasting, and advise supply market sourcing decisions

Report cost savings via the AstraZeneca Value Tracking system
*
Align with all AstraZeneca requirements relevant to the role, e.g. Code of Conduct, contract approvals, third party risk management
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role we see that you have previous procurement experience in the capital project sector, with a consistent track record of leading multiple projects optimally. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have the ability to influence others through strong communication.

Proficiency in Business English and Swedish

Knowledge of construction contracts and equipment contracts

Degree or equivalent professional qualification

Strong analytical and financial skills

Professional procurement qualification

Experience with electronic tendering systems
