That's a winning combination for this position within Sandvik Coromant and our Category Management team.
To be more specific, we're looking for a confident and collaborative Global Category Manager to take responsibility for sourcing of digital and IT solutions. In our decentralized world, we have both the mandate and the power to influence and you get to use your knowledge in taking us one step further in the digital arena.
Your mission
This exciting role has three important agendas and they include sourcing of digital solutions
used in our CoroPlus offering
connected to Transformation 4.0 in our production environment
for our office environment and end-users
You're responsible for establishing a sourcing strategy for this category, and executing sourcing projects by evaluating, selecting, negotiating and contracting suppliers - all in close cooperation with key stakeholders . You challenge the organization in sourcing matters by discussing different options and looking at the most suitable choice for our IT landscape from a commercial and contractual perspective. Together with stakeholders, you also go through plans and roadmaps to identify what solutions we need for the future. You play an important part in establishing governance in our supplier relations and you manage some of our most strategically important agreements.
For this job, we need your presence at our office in Sandviken at least a couple of days a week.
Your skills and profile
We're looking for someone with a deep knowledge in the world of digital solutions - perhaps from working as an IT professional or with tech retail. You understand the features and possibilities of software's, applications and licenses, and you easily identify how we can ensure maximum value in our supplier contracts. You also know how to commercially source these types of solutions and you're used to evaluating options, negotiating, closing deals and managing stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field of studies is an advantage, as is experience from the manufacturing industry. Since you interact both locally and globally, you need excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.
You're brave enough to challenge our stakeholders, partners and suppliers, and adaptable enough to view things from different perspectives. Connecting with people and listening to the needs of the business are key elements in this job, and you have a structured and detailed approach. Your curiosity leads you to explore the market and proactively investigate which solutions we need to update and include in order to bring the most of our IT portfolio.
