Titel: Global Cargo Quality team member
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
We are looking for a replacement within the Global Ocean Operation team in Stockholm in Cargo Quality department. We are today 12 people in the Global Ocean Operation team and 3 persons total in the Cargo Quality team.
The position is to lead day to day business on all risk, quality and safety matters arising. Develop and work with Global Cargo Quality departments all functions, such as: Cargo Hold Inspections, Damage reports handling and follow up, Performance handling, WWL Cargo quality system and Education material developing.
Global Cargo Quality has daily contact with regional Cargo Quality departments, vessels and vessels owners. The position holds assignments in international workgroups for quality and regulations for cargo (ECG). The work is dynamic and demands both patience and firm handling of internal and external contacts.
Main Responsibilities:
• To develop and establish procedures for cargo quality, handling and securing.
• Development and maintenance of education programs for cargo handling and quality, such as videos, power point presentations etc,
• Participate in and manage projects that the department is involved with.
• Maintain and develop instructions within area of responsibility
• Follow up on survey related activities
• Follow up and administrate cargo incidents and damages with customers, ports , vessel crews and vessel owners
• Provide guidance in Cargo Quality and handling matters.
• Communicate cargo quality matters with customers
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
A successful applicant for this role will possess the following:
• Good knowledge of Cargo Handling and Cargo Quality procedures regarding operation of RoRo and PCTC vessels, in ports or onboard the vessels.
• Master mariner education with at least some years experience with RoRo or equal background.
• Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Good knowledge of International regulations governing Cargo Handling, Securing and Safety.
• Excellent team player.
• Willingness to and motivated for continuous learning.
• Interest and ability to work with a continuous improvement attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Structured and good at following through tasks and projects
• Self-going and have the ability to make decisions when required.
• Excellent knowledge in English, both written and oral. Additional language is a merit.
• Willingness to travel
