AlfaWall is a leading supplier of systems for treating ballast water from ships sold under the Alfa Laval PureBallast brand name. The PureBallast system prevent the spread of invasive species to local marine environments, which by United Nations/International Maritime Organization has been identified as one of the four greatest threats to the world’s oceans.   

About the job
Ballast water treatment systems are one of the big growth potential markets in the maritime industry. The market is driven by legislations and it is expected that the global IMO BWM Convention will be ratified within 2016. AlfaWall is market leading through the PureBallast system. As a Global Business Manager for PureBallast you will have the global responsibility for the business, with tasks to maximize the retrofit revenue and secure a sustainable long term position on the newbuilding market.
ResponsibilitiesYour main tasks will be:

Develop and lead a team of five regional business managers
Develop and implement sales, marketing and pricing strategies
Provide business input to the annually reviewed strategy plan
Contacts with shipyards and ship owners
Channel customer input, competitor information, market trends and requirements as input to the product development process

Personal profile and qualificationsYou will be working in a fast moving and highly international business environment, with ship owners, ship yards and sales companies all over the world. The business is complex, and the projects are often of high value. You will be the commercial foundation in the management team and have great impact on the development of the company. The Global Business Manager shall be/have:

Commercial and result oriented
Ability to motivate and develop others
Good communication skills in English
Good leadership skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Strong drive for exceeding expectations
Structured and organized work

Qualifications & experience:

Minimum five (5) years of international marketing and sales management experience
University degree in Engineering and/or Marketing or equivalent experiences
Leadership experience
Experience in large contract negotiations
Experience of Value Based sales processes
Work experience from maritime industry

PracticalitiesThe Global Business Manager will be based in Stockholm (Tumba), Sweden. The expected starting date is as soon as possible. Expected number of travel days is >60 days/year.
