Operational Excellence Logistics team is looking for a colleague with a strong analytical background to join the team as Global Biosecurity & Cargo Quality Manager.
This role is to lead and head up biosecurity work with all Port Terminal Stevedoring Regions responsible and in close cooperation with Business Operations, Marine Operations Management and Customer Growth.
The role also includes strong Cargo Quality and Operations process focus for constant improvement adjustments.
Accountabilities:
• Lead and coordinate biosecurity matters including being part of the Biosecurity Taskforce Team and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Operation process handling together with the development team in OPEX Logistics
• Focal point and coordinator for regulatory discussions involving Port Terminal Stevedoring and with other organizational stakeholders.
• Responsible for the bio security systems use and development.
• Participate in the development, improvement and maintenance of Cargo Handling and Acceptance Policy
• Be part of the operations/quality groups to ensure cargo operation is performed in accordance with corporate safety and quality requirements.
• Maintaining Cargo Quality standards, including the Cargo Handling Process, distribution material and driving policy improvements.
• Project lead/attendance/participation on relevant ongoing topics.
Required skills and experience:
• Good knowledge of vessel operations and cargo handling procedures. You need to fully understand how our cargo travels, how it is loaded, what impacts the quality and safety of our operations and cargo.
• Structured and well organized, with a respect for processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - the successful candidate will communicate with a range of different stakeholders and must be able to adapt their communication between strategic, tactical and operational levels.
• Influencer - ability to lead and motivate others, as well as convince others to follow your recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly identify key result drivers.
• Self-driven with initiative - a big part of the role is taking data and using the learnings in a valued way.
• Computer literate, good with programs and processes. Knowledge of and keen interest in relevant IT systems. Experience of working in Power BI dashboards is a plus.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure.
