Global Application Engineer
If you have a solid interest in technology and a curious personality, we can offer you an exciting opportunity in an international environment where you will work closely with sales and R&D to shape the future success for our water and wastewater pumping products.
As a Global Application Engineer, you will work with system solutions. Your primary role will be to develop technical solutions, ensuring the proper performance and longevity for our pumps and associated equipment. In addition, you will work on developing general design recommendations and include them in Xylem's sales tools. You will also work with component selection, sizing and system calculations for pump systems.
You will work closely with your peers in the application team, consisting of six Application Engineers with different expertise. The team has a responsibility of driving application engineering expertise and support our sales organization (commercial teams) globally with technical expertise to solve customers' challenges.
Travelling to Xylem locations and to customers site is included.
Responsibilities
Support the commercial teams' efforts with product selection and system design
Participate in troubleshooting cases
Develop training materials in the application domain and train internally in application expertise
Participate in the development of software tools for product selection, system design and engineering
Participate in and support business development projects
Follow trends and subjects within the application area
Have good product knowledge
Operate or assist in application development projects
What you 'll bring
You have a bachelor's degree in vehicle, mechanical or similar area of education.
We see that you have experience with 3D CAD, Creo or similar platforms as well as good understanding of physics.
Full fluency in English, both spoken and written, is an essential requirement due to Xylem's international work environment.
