As Global Application Engineer for our Refiner Segment products you will perform advanced application engineering and development to support our existing and potential customers globally, through Metso?s sales network. Handling all kinds of trouble shooting within Refiner Segments applications is also part of your job.
You will have the opportunity to have daily contacts with our customers and sales network, which means a high frequency of customer visits. We are targeting all kinds of fiber producers using refiner processes. The advanced application engineering demands analytical skills, being able to evaluate our customers existing situation process wise and coming up with proposals for actions in regard to production economy, quality and runnability.
The location for this position is Solna, but other locations can be discussed.
To be successful in this position you need a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paper/Pulp either Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with five years experience from the pulp and paper industry. Experience from the refining process or mechanical pulp and fiberboard production is also needed.
You are target-oriented and used to working independently. It is important that you have good communication skills in Swedish as well as English and easily relate to customers and their needs and requirements. You should also be business minded. In order to support our customers, you?ll need to travel up to 150 days per year.
