Your mission
Although our team is spread around the world, we work closely together. You will develop the Enterprise Architecture and coordinate all Enterprise Architecture activities locally and globally.
You will focus on overseeing, managing, and building new elements of Epiroc's BI architecture, including data components, technology and applications while finding ways to use these structures to meet the company's organizational standards and improve its overall performance.
Another challenge will be to support and maintain the BI Enterprise platform beginning with data ingestion, understanding various components, bridges, establishing security, BIR, orchestrator - ensuring data for BI needs are properly flowing from source to data models.
With your knowledge, you will support data platform team members with establishing and standardizing processes throughout the data flow process.
Additionally, you can expect involvement with ongoing maintenance of the enterprise platform, establishing user security and addressing bottlenecks throughout processes that impede timely output of BI deliverables.
You will be professional in translation of IT strategies into execution, and you will be a representative in process councils, program and project steering committees, evaluation, and support solutions in line with the Epiroc IT target architecture.
Your profile
You have a University degree in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience in the Data and Analytics domain.
You have 5+ years of experience of working on deployment teams, ideally using Agile development techniques.
Deep SQL knowledge, including writing procedures and experience working with Microsoft BI tools, including Power BI is a must.
You have solid experience with various Data Management architectures like Data Warehouse, Data Lake and are familiar with tools such as Databricks used for building, testing, and deploying machine learning and analytics.
To succeed in this role, you also have extensive experience in data modeling, data analysis, T-SQL scripting (SSAS), DAX and visualization (Power BI). You are passionate about finding the right combination of data and technical tools that will meet the business user's needs.
As our corporate language is English, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
Location
Working within the Epiroc IT department offers the freedom to work at any of our local hubs. This includes Örebro (Sweden), Garland (USA), Santiago (Chile), Prague (Czech Republic), Nanjing (China), Perth (Australia), Boksburg (South Africa), Bangalore or Nashik (India).
