A new team is being created within Klarna that will work with consumer legal matters that may arise in Klarna Debt Collection and in Klarna Service Center. To this team Klarna is now seeking a German-speaking lawyer whom will assist in these matters with particular focus on merchants and consumers in our German market. The responsibilities of the position are very broad and span from advisements in consumer legal matters to implementations of internal courses concerning legal processes.
The position is one of an expert role, which means that you will also have Q&A responsibilities within the department. Initially, it will be important for you to focus on understanding Klarna?s products and services and different processes in order to optimally apply the legal aspects that are required of you.
Since the team is newly formed, there are extensive opportunities for you to outline the position. As an in-house lawyer for Klarna you will also be working closely with Klarna?s Legal & Compliance team.
You are required to have a law degree from a German university or at the least you have had most of your education from a German university. It is seen as favourable to have one or a few years of practical legal work experience.
You need to both speak and write in German and English fluently and any knowledge in Swedish is advantageous but not required for the position.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need to be a curious and confident individual but also have excellent communicational skills. Since the team is new, it is vital that you are initiative and have a solution-based and structured working approach. Your personality should be characterised by efficiency and a personal drive to get things done.
NOTE! Your application must contain:
• your resume in English or Swedish
• a personal letter in German
• a personal letter in English or Swedish
