The job
As project manager you will run & manage successful projects together with our customers, ensuring that implementation and connection of enterprise software into customers' existing systems are performed.
You will work with customer specific sales configuration solutions, i.e. solutions that make it easy to sell complex products in a quick and efficient manner. Being part of our team you will work with a cutting-edge product; the research behind Tacton Configurator started in 1987 at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS).
Several of the projects are international and you may run multiple parallel projects for major customers. It is important to have a technical understanding, but programming skills are not required, you have Technical Leads within the project team. Further, you allocate resources, estimate the time required and identify and validate risk, you frequently collaborate with the customer's project manager. You are responsible for the agreed project methodology followed in the projects and updating the involved parties on the status continuously.
You will handle complex situations and work on many challenging and fun projects. The projects usually consist of three to ten people and are between four to six months or longer, where the majority of the projects are the development phase. The position as Project Manager is included in the department Professional Services and all projects operates from the head office in Stockholm. As project manager you will be involved in developing the company and also our business and project methodologies. Travelling to customers is part of the job.

We are a Swedish software company but we consider the entire globe to be our workplace. Tactons typical clients are large international industrial companies such as Scania, GE, Siemens, ABB, Alfa Laval, Toshiba and others.
We are divided into two businesses; sales configuration and design automation with a total of about 100 employees.

Are you the one...
You have a relevant university or engineering degree and at least three years work experience as a project manager.
To become a successful Project Manager you feel high identification with the project and are also self-driven and goal-oriented. You enjoy working in an intercultural team environment.
You have a good understanding of IT and are good at nurturing customer relationships. As a person you are open, communicative, organized. You are fluent in German and English both verbal and in writing. Advantage if you have experience from manufacturing companies.
