• Define clear customer needs based on web meetings and communication with our European Sales Organization
• Discuss and recommend solutions for customers based on all existing solutions in our Solutions Library (where all our designs are posted online)
• Always be up to date about all new intralogistics solutions and trends
• Communicate needs between customer and design resources
• Coordinate design resources to deliver cart projects according to specification and time plan
• Prepare and host DesignOnDemand (DOD) live design meetings with customers worldwide (using GoToMeeting, Microsoft Lync or similar software)
• Prepare and host Face2Face meetings with customers at their plant
• Approval of requirements, projects and cart design
• General development of DOD and Technology Concepts (shelves, tow bars etc.)
• Describe cart functional requirements and test procedures for the distribution centers
• Approve product documentation and drawings
• Development of design processes to reduce lead time and cost
• Support with marketing tasks like content management and updates on website, social media marketing and articles if needed (related to design and engineering)
• Search and find new and useful addons to our products and introduce external products to be combined with our concept
• Be open to 24/7 support for our distribution centers and design outsourcing in order to move projects forward
• You have a bachelor's degree or higher within mechanical or design engineering
• Good knowledge in SolidEdge or similar CAD software
• Hands on mechanical skills
• You have a sales mindset
• You Fast and reactive customer service - fast to answer emails etc.
• You have a great interest in product and production development
• You are creative and open to constantly learn new things
• You have great skills in IT tools and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools
• You are goal oriented and willing to walk the extra mile
• You are fluent in German and have excellent skills in English
