hela Sverige Bike Sweden is one of Stockholm's leading tourism operators, with a rapidly growing bicycle rental business based out of our shop in Östermalm. In addition to renting bikes, we operate daily public sightseeing tours and organise private guided and self-guided tours for guests from internationally and domestically in Sweden. We take pride in sharing the beauty and history of Stockholm with our visitors, and hold our guides to a high standard. Our tours operate mainly in English but also German, Swedish, and occasionally French and Spanish.
We're looking for a Stockholm-based guide that speaks German, English and Swedish, to work part-time over the summer.
• You must have lived in Stockholm for at least 5 years and be familiar with the main tourist attractions, and have a good knowledge of Swedish history, culture, food and politics.
• Experience working in tourism and customer service is a must, with guiding experience a big positive.
• You must be flexible with your working hours and be available for last-minute bookings.
• The right candidate will have a positive and bubbly attitude.
• Driving license is a positive.
• Experience with basic bike maintenance - e.g. replacing a punctured inner tube, being able to identify when brakes are worn out, etc, will work in your favour.
• Hard working people willing to do more than just guiding - e.g. stepping in to help out with the rentals in the shop when a tour is cancelled, will be looked upon very favourably. Experience in Retail is beneficial.
We will do most of the specific tour and guide training in-house, so a guide education/qualification is not necessary.
