GERAN Training Program - Development Test
The dev test team is a group of dedicated engineers who work with development test carrying out physical module-, integration- and feature test. The work is done in top modern laboratories using advanced test environments and tools as well as programming skills. The group consists of test designers, project leaders, line managers and tool designers and is now going to strengthen the organisation with physical module-, integration- and feature test engineers for our handset development.
Job description
As a physical module-, integration- or feature test engineer within the dev test group you will work in close collaboration with software designers, hardware development and other system testers. As a test engineer within the dev test group you will be responsible for test functionality as well as performance and the work will among other tasks involve test specifications, designing test scripts, work with protocols within the area of certification or development. Furthermore, you will be involved in executing tests, trouble-shooting or documenting test results in reports when required.
Since many of the projects are done in close collaboration with our customers and operators you will work in an international environment that requires that you are confident using English verbally as well as writing. The work also requires that you have the ability to explain problems and issues in a clear and logical way to other project members and managers. You also must have the ability to work, in a team or independently, in a structured way following established processes and methods outlined by the line organization.
Your background
Formal education needed is M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
Additional to this we think that you have some experience working with similar tasks but it is also a possibility that you are newly graduated but have done your master thesis in a relevant area. If you have one or more of the below requested experiences this will be further qualifying and make you even more interesting to us:
1) Test development and test procedures
2) Programming in C
3) WCDMA/GSM
4) Familiar with test instruments and work in laboratories
5) Have an analytical mindset and is organized and structured in your work
6) Flexible and having the ability to prioritize
