At our client's place, responsible for performing geometry feasibility and manufacturing studies for corresponding shops in a car manufacturing plant, evaluating the designs and proposing corresponding technical solutions to make the vehicle producible according to desired BOP (Bill of Process) and manufacturing engineering standards.
• Geometry: Secure the geometry in the manufacturing steps by specifying the reference points, geometry setting tools and methods to be used and corresponding documentation, analyzing and follow-up on-site during buy-off and launch.
• Matching activities based on Cubing and built bodies.
• Analysis of problems within Fit & Flush (DTS fulfillment), and other geo sensitive systems.
• Project Management: With Manuf. experience the discipline of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet success criteria.
• Technical skills: Deep knowledge and expertise from 5+ years in BIW geometry
Competence requirements needed for the assignment.
Experience:
• Senior skills and experience within Geometry in Manufacturing, including Try-Out activities at tool/equipment supplier & in Pilot production as well as in mass production plant.
• Extensive plant launch experience including supporting APQP process.
• Senior skill level on BIW build geometry systems, RPS and relevant production methods.
• Good knowledge about metrology and SPC.
Software and IT:
Teamcenter & TCVis, RDnT, CM4D, MS office
Personal attributes:
Easy to cooperate with team members of different cultural background.
Good communication skills.
Ability to define tasks needed to meet the requested performance for the attribute.
Ability to follow up and make sure that agreed plans are executed.
Ability to present issues and status for the attribute to project management.
Ability to travel to China is a prerequisite (occasionally for longer periods)
