We are now in a process to employee new members for different roles in our department.
We need one highly skilled Geometry Engineer/Specialist.
We are today responsible for all physical modelling at the department and our work is to perform high standard models for Design and surface verifications.
Due to new equipment and new working process, we believe that you are a person that have very easy to learn new things, and that you easily couldadapt into a new group of people.
Main task:
Prepare and Engineer digital data for Physical model manufacturing.
Prepare and Engineer digital data for Design concept and strategically evaluations.
Prepare and Engineer digital data for Colour and Trim verification models.
Send data to internal and external suppliers.
Deliver scan data to technical group within design.
Collect data from Team center or VPM
Support model project leader in daily work.
Lead and drive necessary meeting forum to get a secured geometry for model manufacturing.
Make sure that the models have right status when it comes to quality and time.
Develop new working methods and tools.
When needed participate at different line and project meetings.
Profit by information from drawings, functional models etc.
Develop and make model making more effective.
Follow the design process.
Prepare data for inquiries.
Prepare technical specifications.
Participate in model meetings.
Give advice to decision makers within own field of activity
Participate or drive (VU) activity development, and methods.
For model making not proper data bring it back to surface group through
Nufo leader.
Working according to Volvo philosophy.
Qualifications:
Exam from university of technology or equivalent experience for a
minimum of 4 year.
Be proficient in English.
Excellent and well documented experience from geometry work.
Excellent knowledge in different PC programs.
Excellent knowledge in Catia V5 is required
Knowledge in demands regarding model making.
Good communications and cooperation skills are highly appreciated.
Have a strong drive to reach results.
High social skills and customer focus.
Ability to listen and coach.
Ability to manage multiple items at the same time without loosing focus or quality.
Feeling home in an international and diverse environment.
Experience from similar work is a merit, with a proven record of quality work.
