hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
One of Scanias trademark abilities is to give the customer a solution, specifically composed to suit their needs. This is achieved through modularization - creating a design solution that can be combined in almost endless combinations. To ensure that the choices for our customer are kept as open as possible there is a need to verify that different components don't collide with each other - neither by the chosen design geometry, nor by the set of rules (conditions) that are defined in our structure systems (TS/KS/VCR/TCR). As Scania is Driving the Shift towards a sustainable transport solution, in the coming years introducing new solutions to the "bygglåda" - it is vital that the modularization is kept.
Here is were You can make a difference! Our group is responsible for the installation assurance of projects introducing new components - in all parts of our vehicles - cab, chassis, bus. We do this by being a part of the running projects through the project phases, making installation assurance on the complete "bygglåda" and we work in the test vehicle process - creating the digital representation of a specific vehicle to be built, ensuring that we have no collisions. Continuous improvement is an integral part of Scania mindset and by being an active part in improving and redefining processes we ensure integration over time of new projects.
What we offer
You will come in contact with many areas of our vehicles in your tasks and through that get to know our products, and you will gain an understanding deeper than many of our "rulebook" - our structure. You will work with colleagues in different walks of life, both inside the group and at designgroups all over the company. Your closest colleagues are eager to support you in your daily work, and you will receive an appointed mentor for you first time here. As one of those working closest to the processes, methods and tools we use you will have the possibility to shape our future way of working through improvement work.
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer other benefits such as distance working in Sweden, company car, company-performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania JobExpress.
Your responsibilities
In all our areas of responsibility it is our main task to create the visualisation preconditions for designwork and verification of the same. You will be responsible for ensuring that any deviations found are reported to the right organisation. Whether it be in the projects or in the test vehicle process you will be working individually to meet the project/customer need at the right time. By using a combination of product and structure understanding, 3D models and a set of our own developed tools you will ensure that our modular system is prepared for the future and our products can be built efficiently and on spot for our customers.
Your profile
We are searching for several collegues to take on different tasks with the following competencies:
• BSc in Engineering, or equivalent and relevant work experience to fulfil the task.
• Good written and spoken English
• Experience from our product, and from our structural systems (OAS, Catia/Enovia) is highly merited.
• If you have knowledge in programming that is a bonus, especially in VB.net, VBA and SQL.
You are analytical with a good attention to details without loosing focus on the bigger picture, always taking pride in working in a structured manner. You are able to connect the dots between different data sources, draw conclusions from what you see and you are focused on the solution. You are motivated to take responsibility and enjoy working independently, but have no problem contacting and involving colleagues from other departments to solve a problem at hand.
