Geometry has the responsibility for geometry assurance within Volvo Cars Manufacturing. The responsibility are for all plants worldwide. Therefore the organization is very flexible and multicultural and we are all together ~190 employees where ~50 are located in Olofström.
At the unit here at Volvo Cars Body Components we have the responsibility for geometry assurance of all delivery units that are produced here at VCBC. VCBC is the main supplier of sheet metal parts at Volvo. We produce about 50 million parts per year supplying all Volvo models. Geometry has a vital role of the quality of the car therefore geometry has a very important function to assure that Volvo deliver a top quality product.
At GAE you will be part of the transition in order to fulfill our vision for 2020 and will be a part in a small group with great opportunities to develop your own skills. Further the GAE will work together with a small group whith in Manufacturing with both research engineers and application engineers as well as working together with many functions in the Volvo organization e.g. the pre-matching group, production and new car projects. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a direct influence on customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
* Ensure that the "right" Reference & Requirement is carried out in consultation with engineering teams
* Do analysis together with pre-matching team of new and existing processes
* Prepare and develop needs for control equipment and measuring program
* Monitor and analyze results of product outcomes and actions during the project phase
* Approve the geometry results from buy-off of the tools from the vendor
* Approve geometry results from home line try out and confirm the outcome together with the customer
Required qualifications
* You need at least a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Project management skills
* Skills to present results and methods
* English (written and spoken)

* High integrity and professionalism
* Holistic view and conceptual thinking
* Business and performance driven
* A good communicator
* Geometry knowledge preferred
