Your responsibilities
For our Hydrogen Team in Sweden we are looking for a General Project Manager (GPM). The role is part of the Business Line Hydrogen who works as one team within Uniper utilizing the resources from the whole Uniper Group. The position will be located in Malmö. As a General Project Manager with the capacity to develop new major asset projects for Uniper's hydrogen and PtL business in Sweden you will:
Lead Uniper's major hydrogen and PtL projects in Sweden as a Commercial General Project Manager.
Drive projects from ideation to Final Investment Decision (FID).
Oversee commercial, technical development, budgeting, and business modeling.
Manage interdisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth execution up to FID.
Bridge Uniper Hydrogen Sweden and Düsseldorf Hydrogen Business Line, optimizing Uniper's support.
Report to Team Lead Hydrogen Business Development Sweden and project steering committee.
Manage stakeholders, partnerships, compliance, and contribute to Uniper's commercial hydrogen strategy for a sustainable future.
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable. Uniper is positive to a flexible approach around remote working based on the conditions of the business and the individual employee.
Your profile
To be qualified you are expected to have the following:
A university degree (e.g., MBA in engineering or economics) or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years' commercial project management experience, particularly overseeing large-scale projects in areas like gas infrastructure or wind farms, focusing on business models and strategic analysis.
Several years' engagement in the energy sector, either through employment or energy-related projects.
Proven ability to present complex information compellingly to executive boards.
Over a decade of successful leadership in senior project management, with sound knowledge of energy project management and its commercial aspects.
Proficiency in spoken and written English for effective professional communication, and fluency in Swedish for seamless interaction with external stakeholders despite project operations being conducted in English.
