Join our team
As our current General Manager Product Company (PC) Örebro has accepted the role of VP R&D we are now looking for a suitable candidate to replace her. Underground division is one of five divisions in Epiroc that develop, market and produce Drilling and Material Handling solutions for Underground Applications, e.g. drill rigs, loaders and trucks. PC Örebro is one of three PCs within Underground Division and employs approximately 600 people.
Your Mission
In the position as a General Manager, you are responsible for our Product Company Örebro that consists of Production of the Material Handling and Drilling equipment, Operations Development, Strategic Sourcing, Finance and HR. You will work closely with both our Global Marketing and R&D organization, as well as our peer divisions in Örebro. You will report to the Vice President Operations, Underground division.
As a General Manager, the work varies from daily operational challenges to long term strategies to ensure PC Örebro long-term competitiveness. You are responsible to develop and execute the local Operations Strategy by adapting and implementing our global strategies that include People and Planet, Global Footprint, Epiroc Flow (LEAN), Digital Manufacturing, Flexibility and Best Cost Country Sourcing. Within People and Planet, our target is to have an accident-free work environment, an inclusive and diverse organization. We are also aiming for to halve our CO2-emissions from; suppliers, transportation, our operations and machines sold by 2030.
Main responsibilities
* Build Safety Always mindset - in everything we do
* Create an inspiring and inclusive workplace and lead PC Örebro organization in an agile and efficient way
* Financial plan and performance of PC Örebro
* Represent Underground Division in Epiroc Rock Drills AB Management Team and drive cross-divisional activities
* Lead the journey to be industry benchmark through inclusion & diversity, sustainability, lean principles, flexibility and digitalization.
* Make sure that our organization, supply chain, production and processes are prepared to meet market fluctuations with agility, efficiency and speed
* Ensure a successful ramp-up of battery equipment
* Safeguard that the Underground PC Örebro continuously have the right material-, and production cost for our products
* Align and collaborate closely with global functions in division, product companies and peer divisions to ensure efficient administration and a customer-oriented process
* Maintain and develop a business continuity plan
Your profile
You are an inspiring and inclusive leader that has created tangible business results within production and/or strategic sourcing. You have a university degree in a relevant field or comparable working experience.
As a leader you are creative, driven by new ideas and mindsets, a pro-active person that enjoys the mix of short-term challenges and long-term strategic execution. You are experienced in change management and communication towards different stakeholders.
We are a global organization and therefore fluent oral and written English skills is necessary, Swedish is preferable.
