The General Manager of Operations Eskilstuna is responsible for the day to day business to ensure that overall Operation strategy and objectives are secured. Responsible for creating and developing a flexible, high quality and cost efficient Order to Delivery (OtD) process in Eskilstuna. He or She is a member of the Operations Management Team and reports to the SVP of Operations.
Main Tasks:
• Deliver components to customers meeting Quality, Delivery and Cost expectations
• Set goals, drive activities and continuous improvement to reach them
• Budget and target process for Operations Eskilstuna
• Continue to develop and secure a strong and competent leadership team within Operation Eskilstuna. Ensure the leadership team understand and is motivated to drive towards the overall Volvo CE strategy and working with the Volvo Production System
• Secure that the line organization have the necessary competence and resources
• Develop and adhere to the quality control system within the area of responsibility
• Secure the right resources and competences rom Operations into the Product development process to secure that design for manufacturability is optimized
• The General Manager Operations Eskilstuna is the site management representative for Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental Care (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001)
• Contribute to developing Volvo CE Operations strategies and roadmaps and building a solid Operations management team

Required knowledge & experience:
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• Appropriate University degree, i.e. M.Sc. in engineering or equivalent
• A minimum of 15 years work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
• At least 5 years of experience from senior management within manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing
Key Skills:
• The ability to provide strong leadership, structure and articulate a clear vision
• High degree of personal motivation, drive and energy
• Should be a proficient communicator, networker and team player, and be able to create enthusiasm in the personnel as well as be able to work and manage in a matrix organization
• Must have a confident presence, the ability to set high expectations, run several activities simultaneously and driving towards results
• Capable of self-direction, setting own agenda while also consulting with stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Strategic capabilities to contribute to developing a global business as well as leading shop floor kaizen improvement on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment, People
• Capability to lead several plants
• Fluent English, both in writing and speaking
