The General Manager of Operations Arvika is responsible for the day to day business to ensure that overall Operation strategy and objectives are secured. Responsible for creating and developing a flexible, high quality and cost efficient Order to Delivery (OtD) process in Arvika.
Main Responsibilities
• To set goals, control and sustain work within the line
• Budget and taget process for Operations Arvika
• To continue to develop and secure a strong and competent leadership team within Operation Arvika. To ensure the leadership team understand and is motivated to drive toward overall Operation strategy and working with the Volvo Production System
• Secure that the line organization supply necessary competence and resources
• To develop and adhere to the quality control system within the area of responsibility

Required Competencies/Skills
• Appropriate University degree, i.e. M.Sc. in engineering (Civ.Ing) or equivalent
• At least 5 years' experience from management position within the global manufacturing industry
• Some years of experience from senior management within manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of and experience from organizational development and Volvo Production System
• Good understanding of Volvo and its organization
• Ability to provide strong leadership, structure and articulate a clear vision
• High degree of personal motivation, drive and energy
• Proficient communicator, networker and team player, and be able to create enthusiasm in the personnel as well as be able to work and manage in a matrix organization
• Must have a confident presence, the ability to set high expectations, run several activities simultaneously and driving towards results
• Capable of self-direction, setting own agenda while also consulting with stakeholders to ensure alignment
