Please be informed that Peter Malmberg is Acting General Manager until the new General Manager is in place.
Mission:
In this position, you are responsible for the operation of the product company; you will have full ownership over profit & loss and the balance sheet of the Company. This product company operates from 2 locations: Fagersta & Ockelbo Plants.
Delivery performance in terms of lead-time and reliability is key to success in our manufacturing environment that is transforming to manufacturing on customer demand. Consequently, our manufacturing operations focus is to:
• Continue the implementation of lean principles to secure sustainable productivity
• Asset utilization to fully leverage installed capacity and secure a robust output
• Quality assurance in all products and processes
Your mission will be to continue to build a "world-class" manufacturing unit in a modern, reliable, innovative and cost efficient way.
Strong focus will be on transforming the operations and communicating the new production strategy that is in line with the Divisional global manufacturing strategy. You will continue the successful implementation of lean basics and principles in the product company and secure a state of the art organization.
You will fully embrace the "Safety First" vision and culture and continue to improve the performance of the product company, striving for zero work related accidents.
You will develop a performing local supplier platform in order to create a strong and reliable supply chain that supports company ambition targets in terms of product quality, product availability, product cost, the design of our products, and the use of working capital.
You will attract, develop and retain the best people and encourage diversity in line with our corporate values.
You will safeguard sound implementation and application of the Principles & Guidelines of "The Way We Do Things".
In this position, you report to the Vice President Manufacturing & Operational Excellence.
Experience requirements:
You have by preference an international management experience with a proven track record from leading a product company, or an operations environment with solid knowledge and experience from implementation of lean or flow oriented manufacturing. You have been leading several large change projects in a complex environment.
Knowledge:
Solid manufacturing knowledge. Strong financial knowledge and analytical capabilities. Good knowledge of FAM and other Atlas Copco internal procedures. The candidate should be sensitive to the local culture and business environment.
Educational requirements:
University degree in an engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent working experience.
