As the General Counsel at CEVT you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance to our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all CEVT's legal matters and providing advice to the business teams and stakeholders within the company, making risk analysis to eliminate and mitigate legal risks. You will lead a team of legal, IP, and compliance professionals and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
In this position, you'll be a member of the CEVT Management Team, reporting to the CEO.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Provide expert legal, IP, and compliance advice to senior leadership and support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee all legal affairs, including contracts, litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the automotive industry and ensure compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts.
• Together with the respective business team, proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Lead the team in delivering legal and governance services that are adequate, business-focused, solution-oriented, and cost-effective.
• Plan and manage the budget and headcount for the function, leading recruitment, and performance management.
• Handle any legal disputes or litigation that may arise.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and partners as needed.
We think that you have:
• Well-documented and appreciated leadership qualities.
• A law degree from an accredited European law school/University.
• A documented experience as a General Counsel or a senior legal role within the automotive or software industry or equal.
• A documented and business-oriented legal experience within the commercial and corporate legal area.
• Strong understanding of automotive regulations, compliance, and industry trends.
• Proven track record of successfully managing legal teams.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
