The department Electrical Systems Design is responsible for the entire electrical system. Electrical Systems Design consists of seven sections and the group Analysis and Verification base tech is a part of the section System Verification, which is responsible for testing all base technologies in the electrical platform. Base tech testing means integration testing and system testing.
Base tech testing implies both integration and system testing. In integration testing we verify compatibility between ECU hardware and ECU software, whereas system testing involves the complete vehicle such as SWDL, diagnostics and gateway communication etc. within the vehicle's electrical system.
We are now looking for new colleagues that will be working in Gateway area. Working with Gateway testing means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas , as you will be working in all Volvo car projects.
You will act as Test engineer and will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. You will monitor progress in the tests and you will summarize the results to your team members and to the car projects.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc or B.Sc. within Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics or equivalent
* Understanding of software system testing
* Experience within Volvo Cars are beneficial
* Experience of one or several tools such as: Vector tool CANalyzer and CANoe
* It is desired to have a knowledge in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python/Bash/CAPL
* Certified by "International Software Testing Qualifications Board" (ISTQB) is meritorious
* Previous working experience with base technologies is a merit
* Fluent in English, written and spoken

You are curious and hungry to learn new skills and develop yourself. Further, you are expected to be a good team player with strong social and communication skills, but at the same the role demands from you to be a self-driven person, prepared working individually as well. You should be organized and structured and able to act pro-actively with your own drive and positive attitude.
