About the position
As Gateway Ocean Manager, you will lead the daily operational for the department and organize a common Swedish Gateway Ocean platform. You will be responsible for the department's operational performance and results and ensuring efficient processes and delivery. You will have full staff responsibility for a great team of about ten employees. In this position you are having a key role as "spider in the web," working close to both suppliers and our Swedish organization.
Your key accountabilities will be:
• Promote and be an ambassador for the Gateway product and department, internally and externally.
• Develop, implement, and follow established routines and processes which will lead to an efficient daily way of working.
• Ensure a high level of container utilization rate.
• Secure high operating quality and good on-time delivery performance.
• Regular contacts with ocean carriers - day to day business to secure service levels.
• Responsible for all employment processes for the department.
• Develop, engage, and inspire your team.
• Establish and maintain strong customer and supplier relations in a professional way.
• Close cooperation with ocean freight branches and Ocean Product Director in Sweden.
As Gateway Manager Ocean, you will lead and develop the business and Gateway department further. You will be reporting to Ocean Product Director and located in Gothenburg. This is a permanent position, with start upon agreement.
Your profile
We are looking for a leader who acts as an ambassador, with passion for developing and motivating your team. To succeed in this role, we believe you have extensive experience from the logistics industry, mainly within ocean freight. We believe you have a bachelor's degree within a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Previous experience from leading and developing people is a merit.
Other requirements:
• Import and export experience.
• Proficient communications skills in Swedish and English.
• Experienced user in Office 365, with focus on Excel.
• Experience from working in CargoWise is a merit.
