At NA-KD we are passionate about our customers and are now looking for an equally passionate Garment Technician. On a daily basis you will collaborate with different parts of our business, especially our Purchasers and Designers.
To thrive as a Garment Technician you need to be curious, entrepreneurial and appreciate the independent part of an technical role but also enjoy to work in close collaboration with others. The successful candidate is eager to learn and we can guarantee a great learning curve as a first step of your career at NA-KD.
Your Future
• Liaising with buyers and designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods.
• You will work with measuring, assessing and fitting samples prior to fit sessions.
• Work with sizing pre-production garments.
• Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.
• Responding to product queries, including returns, from wholesalers and customers.
• Be responsible for making sure garments can be produced within budget.
• Overseeing fabric testing and fittings of first samples.
• Having overall responsibility for the development of garments from order through production ensuring they perform to the specifications and quality provided.
Your Past & Your Skills
• 1-3 years of education in fashion/textile design or pattern making.
• Proven computer- and Excel skills, it is also a plus if you have experience from Illustrator.
• Flexible approach to be able to adjust to constantly changing needs of the business.
• You are independent and enjoy taking ownership.
• Have an interest and understanding of fashion, manufacturing, textiles and garment construction.
• Experience from grading of measurement lists, it is a plus if you have experience of pattern making.
• Applied technical knowledge of fabrics and threads.
• Ability to pass on technical knowledge clearly in layman's term.
• Exceptional eye for technical details to ensure the correct documentation is used and followed.
• Highly organized and good prioritization skills.
• Confident and clear communication skills to work productively alongside other product teams and external suppliers.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
