hela Sverige Gant is an international brand with it’s roots in America's east coast. The clothes are sold in over 300 stores, as well as 4 000 well-stocked retailers worldwide. Already in 1949 Bernard Gant launched the first collection and 1980 three Swedish entrepreneurs got the rights to design and market its own collection for the Swedish market. In 1999 the Swedish division had become the largest part of the global market for Gant. Today 80 persons work at the office in Nacka Strand.
Now Gant AB seeks a Graphic Designer with a strong creative feeling. This for a full-time job at the company's design department. The job is to, among other things, together with their Creative Director and the design team, develop new concepts for logos, labels, prints and pattern designs for the season's collections. The department is multi-lingual therefore it’s a requirement that your English is good. It is also important that you have worked with the entire process, from concept and idea to artwork/original production. It is a diverse and wide range of tasks and you need to like to work both high and low.
Your background is from the clothing industry and it’s positive if you already have worked with sports- and/or casual wear before. You have had a similar role and can provide work samples of designed labels and logos. It is important that you have experience of how the design will be adapted to work on clothes and fabrics.
Education or graduation from a design school is creditable/ meritorious, but not a requirement. The Design department work in a Mac environment, and you should have excellent skills in Adobe programs, especially Illustrator.
As a person you are structured and detailed focused. You are also a delightful person with strong social skill, with the ability to manage stress. You like working in teams, but are as well capable of working independently. That you are efficient and accurate is a matter of course.
