In order to be able to create more world-class digital toys, we're currently looking for game programmers for our teams in Stockholm.
As a Game Programmer at Toca Boca you will work in a team together with other talented programmers, game designers and artists to produce the digital toys of the future.
We're looking for a developer who:
Loves toys and games.
Is passionate about creating mobile games.
Has experience in software development.
Has experience working with Unity game engine.
Has experience in profiling and optimising runtime code.
Has a good understanding of shaders optimised for mobile devices.
Has a good understanding of interesting interactions and animations.
Is excited to engage and discuss with all disciplines of the team throughout the whole production.
Has the ability to identify the risks, dependencies and priorities in a project.
Pays attention to details, is curious and takes pride in their work.
Is an excellent team player focused on the overall team goal rather than individual tasks.
Can invite us to play a game that they have made, live in an app store or elsewhere.
Is fluent in written and spoken English.
What you will be doing:
Develop new apps in Unity and be responsible for the technical architecture, specification, timings and execution.
Be the go-to person for technical advice in any process and take an active role in educating others within your field.
You develop apps on a day-to-day basis by building products, tools and prototypes as well as working with the artists and play designers on technical solutions.
You are responsible for the functionality and performance of the app.

Toca Boca expects you to be self-motivated and to continuously want to improve both process and quality.
You'll be working with team of artists and developers that come to the office excited to learn new things every day.
We work in small teams of 6-10 people, which means everyone is an important contributor in the project and has a shared responsibility for what the toy becomes.
This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months probationary employment.
