We're looking for a game dev talent to join our growing design department working on the studios upcoming 3rd person co-op shooter.
We're searching for a Game Designer passionate about translating our game vision into fun and memorable co-op gameplay!
What you'll be doing
As a Game Designer with a focus on the meta gameplay you will be;
• Scripting and implementing things in the game engine;
• Translate game direction to game design;
• Championing the community gameplay experience;
• Uncovering issues with current design and implementation;
• Assisting in conceptual problem solving;
• Problem solving around game design;
• Supporting player engagement and retention;
• Prototyping and helping implement new enemies/weapons and gameplay features;
• Tweaking and balancing existing enemies, weapons and gameplay;
• Discussing and solve design problems;
• Assisting in conceptual problem solving.
Above all you will be collaborating with a many developers across the entire studio. Each team member at Arrowhead has an important influence on the game and is involved in the decision-making process.
Who are you?
We're looking for someone who is friendly and helpful, but also hardworking, efficient and dedicated to the game development craft!
• Minimum 3 years experience in the games industry from a similar role;
• Experience scripting game features and behaviour;
• Experience working on game balance in co-op games;
• Experience collaborating in a multinational environment;
• Good collaboration and communication skills with a cooperative attitude;
• Great English communication skills are essential, both written and spoken.
Practical information
Scope: Full-time and permanent. (Alternatively) The possibility of a short-term contractor position.
Location: Stockholm, Hammarby Sjöstad with hybrid remote as an option.
