The Position
As the Game Designer for Call of the Wild, you will take a key role in making decisions about new content, game balance, systems and how to improve them to offer a fresh and fun experience over years.

On a high level you will lead the creative development for Call of the Wild and work closely with the Producer and Executive Producer to realize the roadmap you helped develop.

On a day to day basis you will design new features as well as content and also take an active role in product reviews to ensure an appropriate quality level.
Talent in Mission Design and Narrative is a plus.

As you will work on a wide range of different game aspects we see the perfect candidate having a couple of years practical experience from different areas of game development as well as experience from being a lead.
This is a rare opportunity for the candidate who wants to play an instrumental and leading role in a medium-sized and experienced team. If you are a person who likes being challenged and stimulated in an ambitious and talented environment, this position will suit you perfectly.

Qualifications
Experienced the release of at least 2 games and/or DLC of products you worked actively on in a design capacity
Expert understanding of running a game as service including game updates, DLC, etc.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
Data management and editing with excel or similar
Talent in Mission Design & Narrative
Used to handling any type of feedback from a passionate community and know how to utilize that in the design process

To thrive in the Avalanche Game Design department, you need to be willing and have the ability to learn new tools and workflows. You have a positive attitude and the ability to motivate others. We are looking for someone who is articulate, has strong conceptual skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally. You need to have a passion for games and an ability to articulate that passion clearly and analytically.
