This Opportunity
Delphi Electronics and Safety development office in Gothenburg (former Mecel) specialize in software and systems development and function ownership within the Active Safety domain. The need for Active Safety products is rapidly growing and in order to manage projects and deliver products to all European OEMs, Delphi is now hiring over 10 experts in this specific area.
As a Functional Safety Manager you will assess and manage Functional Safety within Active Safety. You will be conducting standard safety analyses and provide feedback and guidance to the engineering design teams for systems, hardware, and software to improve product safety. You will be developing safety concepts that are in accordance with ISO 26262 and function as an expert in this area.
Your task
• Definition of project deliverables
• Planning and tracking of work packages and tasks in accordance with safety plan and project plan
• Tailoring of safety lifecycle
• Project Risk Management
• Participation in project design reviews
• Identification of potential needs for training and tools
• Management and analysis of safety requirements
• Development of safety concepts in accordance with ISO 26262
• Development of customer relevant work products defined in ISO 26262
• Definition of requirements for safety verification and validation
• Supporting development teams when it comes to performing safety analysis in regards of the technical safety concept
• Responsible for planning and execution of confirmation reviews
• Establishing and maintaining all functional safety interfaces, both internally and externally (e.g., customers, suppliers, development team, manufacturing sites)
• Development of necessary documents required for the product release
Your skills
• Masters of Science E/D/IT/Z or similar education level
• 5-10 years of experience of the Automotive Industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience of functional safety in the automotive industry
• Expert knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508
• Documented knowledge of Automotive Spice
• Proven experience of development and implementation of safety concepts
• Proven experience of safety analysis methods (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA)
• Systems engineering background
• Experience of technical leadership is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Doors
• Exposure to medini analyze is preferred
• Experience from active safety systems
• Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Decent verbal and written skills in Swedish desired but not required
