Your responsibility is to ensure that the system is created (hardware and software) according to the ISO26262 standard and that the project do have a safety plan. Potential risks shall be identified and you need to ensure that the risks are escalated. You will be the contact person for all safety related questions for the function.

It is required that you have a B.Sc or M.Sc degree and relevant work experience within the ISO26262 standard and technical knowledge in hardware and/or software.
