Functional Safety Manager

In accordance with our strategic plan to grow our business within the Powertrain & Chassis unit, we are looking for a Functional Safety Manager within our global Quality Team. The position is based in our technology center in Mullsjö or our office in Gothenborg. The incumbent will report to the Head of Functional Safety Management Powertrain & Chassis.
Role description
As Functional Safety Manager, you act as Project Safety manager in development projects and summarizing safety documentation and evidence in the project (safety case). You are responsible for safety argumentation to external stakeholders (customer, assessor, and auditor) and delivering documents into the projects in accordance to agreed plans with Project Manager in the project. Over all, your target is to utilize the knowledge to deliver documents for the right product, with the right quality, in the right time.
Furthermore, you will be performing safety management activities according to ISO26262 during all project phases ( product development, and production) including, DFMEA, FMEDA, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis. Assuring safety competence in projects and perform training, create functional safety awareness across departments and support safety culture fulfilment are also essential parts of the role.
Candidate profile
We are looking for you with over three years of experience in development, preferably in automotive safety related products. You have a solid background in either electronics, embedded SW or System Control Strategy but good awareness of all of these fields. We believe that you have previous experience with ISO 26262 and safety analysis such as FMEA, FTA methods and tools. Preferably you have knowledge in SW quality and processes such as SPICE or CMMI, Products Development Life Cycle (System, HW, and SW) and Requirement Management tools, for example DOORS or Polarion. Fluent in English, both verbal and written, is a requirement.
As a person, you have high communication skills and find it easy to interact with people with different roles within the organization as well as externally. You can take a leadership role where you are both strategical and technical, which helps you plan and organize your work. We see that you are analytic with a problem solving thinking and you find it motivation to support and motivate your team-members to reach your common goal.
