Group BF72851, "DC Braking & Suspension Control Systems" within "Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics Engineering", has a global responsibility within Volvo GTT for Brake and Suspension control system functions and HIL (Hardware In the Loop) simulator verification of Brake, Steer and Suspension control system functions. The work is performed in close co-operation in a multi-cultural environment with both internal and external contacts such as our different development sites around the world and suppliers.

We are now looking for a Functional Safety Manager to support our Function Owners with ISO26262 and other Function Owner related tasks for our complete product range.

Core Responsibilities
• Global CVDE ISO26262 support:
• Support End Function Owner early screening of projects
• Support EFO by supporting/leading the hazard analysis and ASIL classification
• Be the CVDE expert in all ISO26262 matters and as such train EFO as well as other persons
• Support CVDE to ensure compliance to the standard (e.g. support traceability of the safety requirements...)
• Be the CVDE representative in the GTT ISO26262 Community of Practice network
• Support CVDE with supplier discussions relating to ISO26262 compliance and requirements
• Support, drive and deliver other Function Owner related tasks

Profile
• You are a methodical, curious and dedicated engineer with passion for ISO26262
• You are open-minded and enjoy team work but at the same time you are able to work independently and drive development on your own
• You are good at networking with other people, like challenges and understand the value of a laugh
• You most likely have a genuine interest in the automotive industry

Qualifications
• You have a M.Sc. in Mechatronic, Control engineering, Electronics or similar
• Very good knowledge in ISO26262 and implementation of ISO26262
• Pedagogic, pragmatic and structured
• Good knowledge in Physics, Mechatronic, Mechanical engineering, Control engineering, Vehicle dynamics, System modelling, Functional requirements and Electronics
• Good understanding of system development of embedded real time systems
• Good understanding of model based development
• Analytical
• Communication and presenting skills both in text and verbally
• Sense of responsibility
• Business and customer oriented
• Experience from working with simulations of mechatronic/pneumatic systems

Merits
