We are now recruiting a Functional Safety Engineer for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles
The vehicles are always expected to be safe and operate correctly.
Within automotive the need of functional safety work is increasing with the complexity of vehicles. As safety engineer you play a vital role in securing that every step in the design process is in line with functional safety requirements. Your focus will be the fuel cell propulsion system with connected hydrogen storage system and the interfaces to the electromobility systems. You will work cross-functionally within our organization and have interaction points at all GTT Engineering organizations as well as at Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment.
You will lead and coach your colleagues on Functional Safety topics making sure the requirements in Functional Safety (ISO26262) and other safety standards are fulfilled. You will also actively participate in system safety reviews and support the test engineers in defining safety test cases.
Examples of tasks for you as a Functional Safety Engineer include to compile item definitions, perform hazard and safety analysis, derive safety concepts, specify safety requirements, create functional safety documentation, and conduct functional safety reviews.

Your profile and skills
Expert in safety analyses and tools part of functional safety according to ISO26262
Proven experience in driving the functional safety process
Knowledge about vehicle applications and experience in all phases from concept, requirements, design, verification to validation and production.
M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent educational background
Several years of experience within the automotive industry
