Function Owner, Roof system and Mirrors
Roof system and Mirrors is looking for a Function Owner for Mirrors.
Are you passionate about product development and want to reach your personal goals together with other people? Are you a seasoned function owner who is looking for an exciting position where the wheels are constantly in motion?
Roof system and Mirrors is now looking for a Function Owner. It is an advantage if you have a background within mirrors or electric development together with high class project management skills.
The section has a close cooperation with Full Service Suppliers (FSS) from different countries and continents. Our parts have both electrical content as well as design elements. This mix make the close collaboration together with the Product Design, Electrical and Purchasing departments for joint FSS questions both exciting and challenging. We also work closely with manufacturing and the different plants across the globe to secure the product readiness to market. Included in your work is also to follow up on current production issues and implement solutions for them.
As a Function Owner, we expect you to lead by example and be a role model within our group.
Main/Key responsibilities & deliveries
* Maintain, manage and develop competence to develop the mirror function
* Maintain and manage products (function) in production and quality control
* Develop a long-term strategy for the function, monitor and analyze competitors development and customer feed-back
* Initiate and manage predevelopment and monitor the established development for the function itself
* Define and cascade function requirements and interface requirements for the function
* Be the knowledge carrier between the Roof system and Mirrors group and Program Execution group
* Be the knowledge carrier between and support Roof system and Mirrors in China as needed
* Support lead engineers within the Execution group as needed (for the different projects)
* Participate in and drive strategic work and activities for the group
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with relevant work experience
* Experience from Automotive industry, specifically Mirrors is an extra merit
* Previous working experience with Project Management and Product Development
* Experience from working with suppliers and working in international environment
* Basic knowledge of Catia V5 and TeC is meritorious
* Working experience with Volvo Cars and knowledge of the Volvo Product Development System is beneficial
* Excellent English skills, spoken and written
* Driving license "B"
