At Research and Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation premium cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. Interior Trim within Interior department consists of approximately 100 engineers organized into six groups developing components within the following areas: Trunk trim, Door trim, Pillar trim, Interior Light, Headliner system, Floor carpets and Sound absorbents. Within our department, we have the responsibility of customer functions for interior light, electrical sun curtains and electrical load cover and we are now planning to strengthen our Interior Light team by adding one more Function Owner.
The Function Owner is leading the design and maintenance of interior light, electrical sun curtains and electrical load cover functions over the complete function life cycle. This includes dialogue with different stakeholders within Volvo Cars, benchmarking, data analysis, documentation, requirements definition, system safety investigations, planning of function design, development, calibration and verification, review of communication material, customer information and vehicle field quality follow up. The function owner should guarantee a human centric design of the interior light around the customer.
Main Responsibilities
* Form and optimize customer experience and secure high quality
* Develop and maintain a long term strategy for the function
* Create and maintain FDR (Function Description and Requirements)
* Secure function performance fulfilment by leading function calibration
* Participating in verification activities and evaluate test results
* Competitors benchmarking
* Stay updated about regulations and ratings over the world
* Follow up customer function response and continuously improve quality
* Participate in creating and review customer information and communication publications
* Perform System Safety analysis and documentation
Desired Qualifications
* M.Sc. degree within Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent experience
* Approximately 2-3 years of experience of the complete automotive embedded functions development chain, such as defining solution, verification and analysis
* Good knowledge in software requirement administration
* Driver's license B, valid in Sweden and adequate driving experience
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Experience in Rapsody and/or is meritorious, but not a must
* Good practice in reading, defining and writing requirements
