We are now looking for a Function Owner for Body functions who will partly work as System Leader for Body team within the department as well. This is combined, a very hands-on and operational role where we mix Function ownership and System Leader activities, in order to minimize the over-head work for the Line activities but still lead and follow-up the team.
You will also help us transform from a traditional automotive waterfall ways-of-working to an agile environment, hence previous experience in agile transformation is especially meriting.

In this role, travels to Asia may be needed (approx. 3-5 per year).
This is what you will do most of the time
Function owner part:
Requirements handling of functional requirements.
Handshake and explain requirements with suppliers.
Plan, track and manage features of projects
Work closely with customers and stakeholders across organizations to make sure that the platform provides value to the customers.
Work in close collaboration with brand representatives
Drive and encourage a culture of data-driven decisions
Support the SW developing teams in quality analysis and product improvements
System Leader part:
Report progress in stakeholder meetings.
Report progress to department manager.
Plan and follow-up team activities and team commitments/deliveries in projects.
Handle risks and mitigating actions.
Drive activities for estimations of new content outside project scope and BSR answers and estimate budget for project scopes.
Handle intake and task management, work distribution and load balancing for the team.

Suitable background and experiences
M.Sc. or B.Sc in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Product Engineering, or comparable programs.
Some leadership experience as a project manager, team leader or have the aspiration to start partly working as a leader.
At least 5 years of experience in automotive system engineering
Requirement handling tool (preferred System weaver)
Experience in Body functions, i.e. : Interior light, Usage Authorization, Central Locking, Theft Protection, Phone as key
JIRA or other backlog handling tools
You have a solid experience working as a function owner and with cross functional teams.
Used to work in an agile and scrum environment is a plus
Software development experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

In this role you will have to communicate concepts and ideas to stakeholders and customers at all levels and therefore we expect you to have strong interpersonal, communication and convincing skills. Moreover, you possess a drive for changes and implementations, and you always take accountability for the tasks that you are responsible.
Last but not least, cultural sensitivity and curiosity, especially Asian - European culture, are also important to us.
