Vehicle Mode Management (VMM) and Start is responsible to secure that the car fulfills overarching requirements on availability of electrical energy. In order to handle this on a complete electrical system level, a functionality is defined to describe the strategy and structure for how to technically balance supply and demand for electrical energy in the car from a generic perspective. Based on this functionality, a system solution then has to be defined for each car taking into consideration all aspects and pre-requisites for that specific car. This system solution will then allocate requirements on all electrical subsystems and components that, to some extent, consumes energy.
As a Function Owner you are leading the development of your function by defining and cascading requirements to affected vehicle systems. You own and create the function strategy over time, through customer feedback, observations of developments within the technical field, benchmark and innovations. The team you will join is a relatively new organization and consists of energetic and engaged colleagues. Together with your new colleagues, you will not only participate in developing the technical aspects, but also the processes and working procedures used by the team. You will have big possibilities to impact on our working procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Leading development of the VMM concept solution, which means a strategy and structure to balance energy consumption for the complete electrical system during all phases of life.
Monitoring implementations in ongoing car programs to secure feedback to the concept solution.
Participate in definition of the VMM system solution to secure a reliable implementation of the concept.
Participate in requirement balancing process in car programs.
Monitor and analyze competitor's solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science within electronics, mechatronics, computer science or similar competence gained by many years of relevant experience
Wide experience in working with electrical systems engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
Good knowledge in requirement handling process
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Meritorious Qualifications
Master's degree within some of the fields mentioned above
Experience from hybrid vehicle development
Experience from system safety process
Experience from customer behavior, customer related work
Project Management skills or leadership skills
Fluent in Swedish, written and spoken

Open minded and energetic
Good communicator
