Function Developer Software - Climate & Comfort
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As FUNCTION DEVELOPER within the group Climate Control you are responsible for creating Simulink or simulation models. This means that you will write the descriptions and test the complete model.
The Climate Control group is pioneers in function modelling and in house software (SW) development. The group consists of 15 people and we provide a very dynamic and inspiring environment for a hungry SW developer. You will be a member of a cross functional SCRUM-team and have the possibility to try all the different roles within the team. The different roles are System Responsible, Subsystem Responsible, Team Manager, Function Developer, Test Engineer, Configuration Manager and Specialist. The team has specific processes and tools as well as agile methods as SCRUM. Model based software development and in house SW development, is in the strategy of Volvo Car Corporation and gives a big focus on our operation.
Job profile:
• Create simulation models using, Simulink, Stateflow, Matlab etc.
• Write test descriptions and test model in Mx-VDev
• Build Software and perform rig tests
• Calibrate model parameters
• Quality assurance of models
Your profile:
• B.Sc. degree within Physics, Electronics or Computer Engineering
• Some experience in model design
• Well developed SW development skills
• Experience from car industry or consumer market development
• Organised and structured
• Strong team player and interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
