WHAT CHALLENGE DO WE OFFER?
Within the technology stream Vehicle Motion and Energy Management, we develop system solutions and functionalities in the area of Vehicle safety, Dynamics, Driver assistance and Motion management.
The motion management with its control system needs to meet the future challenges with battery electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, including vehicle automation. This position is within the vehicle motion management team called Combination motion.
A further development is planned of how future multi-trailer vehicles can be designed and controlled with regards to both transport efficiency and automation.
The vehicle combination trailer is assumed to be its own unit and is assumed to be able to carry its own energy storage with own propulsion. This opens up for active driving and control with impact on safety and energy efficiency, as well as opening up for auto coupling of trailers.
Main responsibilities of the Combination motion team:
The team works with everything from a concept (equations) to actual software that executes in production vehicles. This means all parts of development, including Specification, Implementation and Verification.
Motion control and coordination of over actuated systems (control allocation).
Stability functions for multi-unit combinations like slip control/yaw-control/anti jack-knife control.
Brake functions development, like brake blending and brake force distribution.
Base vehicle functions for autonomous drive.
Keep big focus on safety work, like functional safety and cyber security.

Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you also have:
Education
M.Sc. degree in Vehicle Dynamics, Control systems, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar
Experience - Work
Experience in advanced control systems
Hands on experience with automotive systems especially vehicle motion control and dynamics
Knowledge
Knowledge in one or more of the following; Matlab / Simulink, C, C++, Python
Understanding of Application SW development and the related environment
Knowledge in version control tools (git)
Knowledge of unit testing as well as system/integration testing
Knowledge of Automotive CAN protocol
Knowledge of Control theory
B driver license (C or CE driver license is meritorious)
