The group ECC Vehicle Application in the department Propulsion Controls & Calibration (PCC) are involved early in the development of new powertrain concepts and its software where we have a big impact on vehicle behaviour. We develop solutions that both meet legal requirements and give the customer an outstanding product.
We create system solutions, functional design and perform verification on engines, in full-scale test cars, HIL and SIL's. Do you want to contribute to realize our ideas through the development of functionality software in a number of embedded control systems? Then the positon as Function Developer in our Thermal Management team is the place for you to prosper.
The Thermal Management team belongs to the Engine Controls & Calibration section that consists of calibration engineers, function developers and a system team leader. We are responsible for the delivery of Fuel Supply, Oil systems control, Thermal Management, Heat protection and Sootload applications in hybrid, petrol and diesel engines. We are also a competence centre for temperature models.
What you'll do
You will work in a team with experienced engineers but have a clear area of responsibility. Your main tasks will be to develop physical temperature models within Vehicle Applications mentioned above. The team is transforming into an Agile way of working using SAFE framework. Therefore, you will get the opportunity to develop skills within other competence areas as well.
Your colleagues do a large amount of our work in different engine test cells located in our laboratory, but also in vehicles on site and during expeditions to find extreme climates and altitudes. You will use advanced programs for modelling and data processing for best result and work with Simulink to build new, and also refactoring models to meet new standards.
Your main tasks will be to develop physical temperature models and deliver advanced optimization python script to calibration engineer. You will set initial data and define/handle requirements within system as well as from other areas. You will also develop methods for the calibration process and perform evaluation and problem analysis.
Do you fit the profile?
To enjoy and succeed in the role, we see that you have a great interest in the latest technology, and are experienced in powertrain controls and calibration. We see that you have a university degree from a technical education or a long time engineering experience. You have previous experience from automotive industry and possess knowledge within software development. You are comfortable working in INCA/Matlab/Python/Simulink. Further, you are fluent in English and holds a Swedish driver's license B.
You are a positive and self-driven person, who strive to see "the big picture" to be able to contribute in the best way. You appreciate being a part of a team and are a good communicator. Further, you are always curious, and love to solve problems in a pragmatic way!
