Description
The client is looking for an engineer who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to our stakeholders. The client needs engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as they continue to push technology forward.
You will be part of an international agile team where; we use SAFE framework and Scrum as a way of working.
Due to the situation most work will be carried out remotely.
Mandatory competence and experience:
• 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, with proven ability to build cloud solutions within the BI area.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent work experience
• Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: - Big data concepts and technologies, such as: Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Solr, Cloudera, MapReduce, R, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, and the ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack.
• DevOps concepts and tools, such as: GitHub, JIRA, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Docker, ELK stack, Nexus, Nagios
• Database platforms, such as: Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, Mongo DB, HDFS
• Application architecture and systems engineering principles, including n-tier/services-oriented architecture
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: Google Cloud, AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in programming languages and related web technologies, such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, Perl, Ruby on Rails, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, Angular, React, or Vue.
Preferred competence and experience:
• Relevant experience in development for cloud services.
• Certified in either of the leading Cloud platforms including Google, AWS and Azure.
• Hands on knowledge on any (1) programming language: Java or Python
• Hands on knowledge of Big query, SQL and other relational Databases.
• Familiar with agile way of working, SAFe and Scrum.
• Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex and projects afficiently and effectively
