Role Overview:
As a Full Stack Developer with a focus on PHP, you will be responsible for the entire development life cycle of our web applications, from concept and design to testing and deployment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' requirements. Your expertise in PHP and related technologies will be essential in building robust back-end systems and integrating them with the front-end components.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the project team to gather and analyze requirements, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of web applications.
Develop and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure server-side applications using PHP and related frameworks, such as Laravel or Symfony.
Design and implement robust RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models to ensure performance and reliability.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with user interfaces, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
Implement automated testing and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and stability of the applications.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and issues reported by clients or internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
Document code, processes, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive development repository.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on PHP, in a professional setting.
Strong proficiency in PHP and related frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Vue.js), and responsive design.
Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Knowledge of web security principles and best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in web development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deploying applications to the cloud.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of front-end build tools and task runners (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).
Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
