How would you like to work with a world-class team and help disrupt the energy industry and the way consumers use energy and interact with utility companies?
At Eliq, you'll be joining a fast-growing SaaS that helps utility companies accelerate the clean energy transition and transform the end-customer experience. Currently, we serve 15+ utilities with our SaaS service, energy analytics, and white-label mobile apps and are on a mission to reach 100s of millions of end-customers over the coming years.
We've embarked on a growth journey and we're signing up enterprise customers across the UK, Scandinavia, France and Spain. This is an opportunity to be part of the next big thing in energy, an adventure with the team and contribute to a low-carbon, intelligent energy future.
How you will spend your days:
You will join our amazing app experience team that focuses on helping homeowners to save energy by using our engaging white-label apps. We build both native and web applications. In the team, you will lead the web and backend development including everything that is needed to take an idea into a successful new feature. The team works closely together to specify, build and deliver features and you will also get support from other full-stack developers across other teams at Eliq.
On the backend side we are working with microservices and using Microsoft Azure and C#, on the frontend side we are currently using Angular and a bit of React.
Some examples of responsibilities:
Together with the team, you will be responsible for our white-label apps. This includes everything from specifying, building, deploying and maintaining features.
You will figure out how to measure and evaluate features to continuously improve the user experience.
You are encouraged to not just improve our products but also suggest and implement improvements to how we work.
Who we think you are:
Someone who has built backend services and or web components using them for a couple of years now. You have no problem building a new application from scratch or patching an existing one with tons of live users.
You don't need to know it all, but you need to enjoy figuring stuff out.
More importantly, we expect you to be a great team player that cares about your job and your colleagues.
You lean towards the backend side and this is where you will spend most of your time, but you do enjoy mixing in frontend work as well. Typically you think more of features rather than frontend - backend.
At Eliq you will get freedom and responsibility and will not be micromanaged. This also means that you are good at asking questions and pushing for a solution rather than waiting for someone else to push things forward.
What brought you here:
Lots of experience in .NET, C# and .NET Core
Hands-on experience preferably with front-end development (Angular, React, Typescript)
A love for automation, we're using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
Cloud platform experience, we're using Azure
Good communication skills
