Hands on experience in advertising or marketing graphic design is a plus. The position is in Gothenburg, Sweden and is part of the global Opera Software Organisation.
As part of the design team, you will design and deliver a simple and easy-to-use experience both on mobile apps and on the web for our startup fintech project. You will craft visual styles, animations, and subtle details to deliver the perfect user experience. As a UI Designer, you will collaborate with other members of our product, design, and engineering teams to translate concepts into a living, breathing product and service.
It is essential that the right candidate can articulate design rationally, verbally, and visually. You have the proven ability to work in a team of creatives with a hands-on approach from receiving the briefing to the final execution.

Responsibilities
Deliver innovative, engaging visual design on mobile and web, including visual mockups, motion design, assets, and specifications
Fulfill multiple project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Be able to take initiative, be creative and curious, organise design review meetings, and collect feedback from other teammates and from end users
Review other design work and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
Communicate and collaborate with other cross-functional teammates
Assist engineers with the final development of Opera products
Help create graphic design (e.g. campaign posters, banners) aligned with our brand's look and feel across all channels (e.g. online site, social media, stores).
Help create print material (e.g. poster, notepads, packaging)
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile app design and web design
B.Sc. in Design or a related field, or demonstrated design knowledge in equivalent practical experience
Expert in Figma/Sketch/InVision and the Adobe Creative Suite
An understanding of user-centered design process, methodologies, and principles of usability
Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and able to manage priorities well
Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
Ideal job requirements
Full-stack UI design skills
Interaction design experience and user research is a plus, e.g. wireframing, information architecture, usability testing, competitor analysis, etc.
Motion design
Prototyping and scripting
Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
Intellectual curiosity to explore and push the limits of graphic design and art work
