Volumental is a tech company helping millions of shoppers around the world find perfect fitting footwear. In less than five seconds, our 3D scanner and AI-powered Volumental Recommend can offer customers personalized footwear recommendations allowing shoe shoppers to find the right pair - every time. With customers across the world including New Balance, Bauer, Ecco and XXL, we are on a mission to help 500 million shoe shoppers find perfect fitting footwear by 2025 both in-store and online.

With many plans and exciting growth ahead, data has now earned a first-class position at our company. We want conclusions drawn from data to guide our development and decision making - both in our technology and business teams. How well we gain insights and make predictions from our deep and diverse data streams will significantly affect how artfully we can interact with our customers. This in turn will superpower our products and sales processes.

And that's where you come in!

What will you work on?

A data-driven Customer Success function is key to both our current and future goals at Volumental, our team heavily relies on accurate data to drive usage of our products.

Much of our internal data services have been organized so that they make sense to our products and services - often from a machine-to-machine or developer perspective. In order to make them really useful for a broader range of business-perspective tasks, we want to make the data easily available and make it effortless to analyze and draw conclusions from. We'd like you to create a simple and intuitive dashboard for Customer Success to be used in the business and Insights teams' day-to-day-work.

As a Full Stack Data Engineer you will be part of the AI group but you will work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure that our internal tools and dashboards can offer the insights and analytics to drive increased business. It will require you to gain an understanding of our customers, products and business processes so that you can actively develop ways to improve and support them.

We are excited about you because you:

• Are a self-motivated and collaborative team member who likes to drive projects to completion
• Enjoy teaching others and learning new things
• Get excited about solving challenging problems
• Would like to work in a caring scale-up environment

We expect you to:

• Have experience with building flexible, interactive dashboards (with for example plotly/dash/D3 or some other toolset that allows high flexibility).
• Have strong data visualization skills.
• Have worked professionally with software development for at least 2 years.
• Have experience in databases and ETL jobs.

Bonus - Don't let the above stop you from applying, but if they fit you, please let us know!

• You have experience in data science.
• You are proficient in Python or Golang.
• You have experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
• You are familiar with SaaS products.
• You have an interest in e-commerce retail and customer success.
• You have a degree in computer science, mathematics or similar.

COVID-19 Notice:

Our recruitment process normally includes at least one opportunity for a face to face meeting, but in these times we have moved to virtual hiring and onboarding processes to respect social distancing. Should a candidate prefer to meet in person at the final stages of recruitment, we take all necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety.

Our entire company has been to a large degree working remotely during this period, and we are confident about maintaining a creative and efficient environment while away from the office! However, as we do hope to return to the office eventually, you will need to relocate to Stockholm for this role.
