On behalf of Delphi Automotive we are now searching for a Full Stack Android Developer to join their Infotainment & Driver Interface department (I&DI) of the Electronics & Safety division. Role description
Up until now Google has targeted Android mainly towards handheld devices such as mobile phones and tablets. This is now changing. With the latest releases of Android, Google is developing an in-car edition of the Android platform designed to meet automotive requirements and substitute the traditional head unit operating systems such as QNX, Linux, and INTEGRITY, giving the OEMs access to the Android ecosystem. Delphi is working in close collaboration with Google and our customers to develop head units based on Android.
With expertise, and a background, as a full-stack Android developer you can understand an app developer's point of view as well as knowing each layer of the Android software stack, thus mastering how to best integrate automotive specific additions to the system while making it maintainable in the future.

Qualifications
You understand agile principles such as Scrum and Kanban, continuous integration, and modern development tool chains. As a software developer, with a passion for native software development, Linux has been a big part of your daily work. Therefor to integrate the Android platform onto existing hardware and software is not an overwhelming challenge to you. In addition, we believe that you have a big passion for cars, software and new technology aiming to simplify people's lives and make driving safe, green, connected, and more fun.
